Administration
Principal

Sara Meyer
My name is Sara Meyer, and I have the privilege of serving as the principal at Wells Elementary School.
I am starting on my 23rd year in the field of education, and have served as an administrator for the last sixteen years. I have had the opportunity to serve as the principal at Wells for the last nine years, and was an assistant principal for seven years before that in Plano ISD at Wells, Aldridge, Rose Haggar, Gulledge, Andrews, Memorial, and Haun Elementary Schools. Prior to that, my teaching career included teaching at Shepard Elementary in 4th grade. My professional experience has involved working with diverse populations of students including general education, gifted, dyslexic, emergent bilingual, and special education students. I have thoroughly enjoyed and learned from my experiences with the great communities noted above. My first assistant principal assignment was part-time at Wells, and it brings me great joy and pleasure knowing that I get to serve as the principal at Wells!
In addition to work and friends, my husband Mike, 4th grade son Colton, and our dog Nolan keep me quite busy! My husband is both a teacher and coach at the high school level, so education is a top priority in our household. Additionally, I enjoy watching sporting events in person or on T.V. (Hook Em’!), and baking. We love to spend time catching up with family and friends or traveling as well!
My goal is to make every day a day where children are eager to learn and exposed to an environment in which optimal learning can take place on many levels. Through technology integration, a belief that one can always grow and improve, and a collaborative environment, I am confident that the Wells Elementary staff will continue meeting the intellectual, physical, and social/emotional needs of your children, our students. The partnerships between students and staff, staff and parents, and parents and students are integral to this success.
We will make this a fantastic school year at Wells! Tiger Pride!

Mrs. Elizabeth Fenter
Elizabeth Fenter proudly serves as the Assistant Principal of Wells Elementary in Plano ISD. With a strong commitment to supporting both students and teachers, she works closely with staff to create an engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environment where every child can thrive.
Mrs. Fenter’s leadership is rooted in her passion for student success and her belief that strong relationships are the foundation of meaningful learning. She partners with teachers to support instructional growth, collaborates with families to meet individual student needs, and ensures compliance with state and district guidelines in special education and campus operations.
She began her career in education as a classroom teacher before moving into leadership, where she discovered her love for mentoring teachers, leading campus initiatives, and fostering a positive school culture. Mrs. Fenter is especially proud of her work in special education, campus safety planning, and student engagement initiatives that highlight the unique strengths of every child.
Outside of school, Mrs. Fenter enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their children, Sydney, Easton, Quinnlee, and Xander. She can often be found cheering at the softball fields, attending band performances, or supporting dance recitals, if not visiting Syd in San Antonio at culinary school. She also enjoys cooking, creative projects, and finding ways to stay connected with her Wells Tiger community.
Mrs. Fenter is honored to be part of the Wells family and looks forward to working alongside students, staff, and families to ensure that Wells continues to be a place where “It All Begins Here.”
